Chair Rail Moldings
Chair rails are decorative pieces used about a third of the way up the wall, parallel to the baseboard. They can act as a transition between two different wall coverings such as paint and wallpaper. They are also used extensively at the top of wainscotting, but can also be used as a wonderful, decorative detail on their own.
